A small flock of Falcons flew in ...

Of the over 230+ attendees from the four schools participating in the Class of '69 Birthday Bash, there were only a handful (about 20, including spouses) of Falcons that flew in for the celebration.  They did manage, however, to visit a lot of their old friends and counterparts from Kaimuki, McKinley, and Roosevelt, had fun, and were able to make some new friends.

Was it crowded at the Bash?

Yes, it was a little crowded.
But it was an awesome mix of schools.

Class of '69 Birthday Bash - Four Schools

The Kaimuki, Kalani, McKinley, and Roosevelt High Schools' Class of '69 60th Birthday Bash was held on Saturday, July 23rd at the Japanese Cultural Center.  Over 225 were in attendance.

Something that extends beyond usual or ordinary is described as "epic."  The event that took place on Saturday was an EPIC event in more ways than one.  Four schools celebrated their 60th birthday.  They got reacquainted with old friends, met new ones, had a taste of Las Vegas, had some great food, and enjoyed the live music of the Beat Boys,  But the house came down with the performance of the Calientes.  Their epic performance showed that they still have that awesome sound and that special magic that made them one of the best groups in the 60/70's era.

Those who attended had a great time of epic proportions.  Those of you who didn't ... you should have been there.

Dexter Suzuki (McKinley '69) was busy with the Emcee duties and performing with the Calientes.  Here he announces one the many door prizes of the night.

Although it may appear that Kathy Inouye Anzai, David Kaneshiro, Joanne Amioka Chikuma, Sandra Asato Nishimoto, and other '69 grads were overflowing from the dance floor, this was actually right after the group photo shot.
