Kalani Kokua
KHS 60th Birthday Reunion at the Oahu Country Club 2011

The KHS Reunion committee is reaching out for participation and Kokua in our upcoming 45th Class Reunion.  They need suggestions on what everyone would like to have for the celebration and help in securing a good deal on a location for our banquet and/or other activities.  For now, being that the soaring Falcons have always been ready and willing, the dates, times, and locations are flexible.  (Okay, perhaps we should have started a little earlier)

The committee would appreciate any ideas, suggestions, contacts on:

Locations for a banquet/activities
Food/drinks/pupu
Door/Game Prizes
Donations ($$$)

They also would really like to have classmates join in the planning.  That's actually a lot of fun by itself.

Since a picture is always worth a thousand words ...
Take a look and see how some of us have been "practicing" during the past few years:

Did you notice that food and drinks seem to play a large part of everything we do?

Planning our 45th

The Kalani Class of '69 Reunion committee finally met and as it is in any initial planning of an event,

In the beginning there is always darkness ....

... then comes those infamous start-up committee questions.  Where will it be?  What date shall we chose?  What type of event?  Is there a theme?  How much will the cost be?  Will there be dancing?  Will there be a live band or just canned music?  Will there be games?  Who's doing what?  Who are you?  Yadda, yadda, yadda.

BTW,  committee members who attending the meeting at M Night Club:

Catherine Lim Yoza
Leonard Hoshijo
Gordon Choy (on loan from San Francisco)
Kathy Inouye Anzai
Diane Chong
Ann Moniz Suen
Patty Niwa Yamashita
Joanne Amioka Chikuma
Deanna Ching Lee
Bobby Imoto

By the end of the meeting, at least one thing was decided ...

WE NEED YOU TO JOIN US
(On whatever date is decided, to do whatever will be planned, and have fun!)

More information to follow.

45th Class Reunion Rumblings

Yes, the year 2014 marks our 45th year since we graduated from the school where the tradewinds from the ocean whispered softly through the valley.  The reunion committee has started scheduling meeting to get the ball rolling on an activity for this year.

Not that you need to be reminded, but this year also marks our 63rd birthday.  We are approaching the time in our lives when we will truly discover what it means to be Senior Falcons.  Look at it this way, if you can read this, you are doing fine and you can still enjoy hanging out with your 69 classmates to do whatever you want to do.

Watch and listen for what's coming down for our reunion.  It'll be posted as soon as the committee sets the event, the date, and the times.

You can't bring back those fun times back at KHS, but you can talk about them and enjoy them again.

Who says that we can't hangout with our old friends just to talk stories or do whatever we want?  Just like we did in high school!
