 Upcoming 65th Birthday

Back in 2011 our class participated in a few reunion events to help celebrate our 60th birthday.  Included were a tennis & volleyball lunch and a joint dance with our classmates from Kaimuki, McKinley, and Roosevelt, a Las Vegas 60th Bash with McKinley and Roosevelt, and our own Falcons golf and banquet get together at the Oahu Country Club.

2016 will mark our 65th birthday and the reunion committee is contemplating similar activities.  Watch for more details.

Teams had about 15 hours to complete their 69 item scavenger list.  Some of the teams went all out and almost did all of them.  Many of them required walking in the 108 degree heat ...

Class of '69 Vegas Bash

A group of about 45, made up of '69 classmates from Kalani, McKinley, and Roosevelt along with some family and friends, just returned from their Las Vegas Bash 2015 trip.  Although the "headquarters" for the main activities was at The Orleans, the group successfully deposited a lot of their money equally throughout the Strip and the downtown casinos.  After the dust had settled, everyone ate a lot, had a lot of fun together during the bonding activities, and had a great time.

Update on the Vegas Bash

The dates of the Vegas Bash is still the same, September 23rd to the 28th but as mentioned earlier, the site has been moved to The Orleans Resort & Casino.  Some of the previously quoted prices were mistakenly offered to us, but are actually the rates for the California Hotel.  The new sheet below reflects the correct amounts.

Remember, the three packages offered are 1) Full package including air fare, hotel accommodations and the activities feel; 2) Same as the full package without the air fare, and 3) Just the activities fee of $60.  Should you decide to find your own airline flights and arrange for your own hotel (at the Orleans or anywhere else) you would still need to send in the activities fee to be included in the bash.

Naturally, the ideal location to be at would be at The Orleans because it will be the "headquarters" for all activities (hospitality room, "ice breaker breakfast," slot tournament, team scavenger hunt game, bowling, and our joint school banquet.

Don't worry to much about the $100 deposit date.  If you are interested in attending and being a part of the Bash, please contact Joanne to let her know which package you be signing up for.

Think about it.  It's been 46 years ...
Now is the time to get together to reminisce and have fun with your fellow '69 grads.

2015 Las Vegas Get Together
Some of the Kalani group from our 2013 LV Bash
(Joanne, Laura, Kathy, Val, Gordon, Ann, Bobby, and Cathy)

The next adventure for the Class of '69 Reunion Group is the 2015 Las Vegas Get Together.
Again, it is a joint venture with our classmates from Roosevelt and McKinley and is scheduled for September 23rd (Wednesday) to the 28th (Monday).

As we did in the past couple of Las Vegas trips, the joint activities include an Ice Breaker Breakfast, Slot Tournament, Nightly Hospitality Room, a Reunion Banquet, as well as the optional Bowling Bash (a favorite of everyone), a scavenger hunt, and maybe a show.  And let's not forget the shopping excursions.

For this year, the home base for all of the activities will be the Orleans.  The group wanted to try a new venue for this year.  You could still plan on staying downtown at the Cal, Main Street, or the Fremont, but all of the schedule activities will be at the Orleans.

So far, these are the packages available:

Vacation Hawaii package to the Orleans
Hawaiian Airlines
$969
(Single $1095)

Vacation Hawaii package to the California
Omni
$799

We have a joint committee meeting scheduled for Monday night, April 20th, so stand by for updated information about this trip.

This is a great opportunity to take a break from work, retirement travel, and meet to catch up with old friends ... and hit some jackpots!

More information forthcoming.
