"SUMMER'S END"
Aloha Everyone,
Just finished a long joint committee meeting with our fellow '69 alumni from McKinley and Roosevelt. Lots of laughs, discussion, food, and fun. We spent a lot of time working on the upcoming dance fund raiser.
I guess with all of us getting older, wiser, more experienced, and a lot more responsible, we all decided that using The Endless Summer with a similar design as the movie, might be stretching some copyright parameters. So, the event's name has been changed to "Summer's End."
The dance highlights the last performance by the Calientes and, with it being held late in August, it fittingly reflects the "ending of summer." Well, something like that.
Everything else stays the same. Same dance/music format, same groups opening and playing with the Calientes, same pupu dinner, prizes, etc. Just the name has been changed to protect the innocent.
A new and improved flyer with the Summer's End design and information is forthcoming and will be posted as soon as we get it. In the meantime, don't procrastinate ...
